Thankful…yup that’s how I’m feeling. So glad that this kid is ok. We had the scariest few days with him this week. I never expected that I would come that close to loosing one of my children. He had the flu and it turned really bad. He had to spend a few days in the hospital and had a dangerously high temperature. It makes me sick to my stomach to replay those events in my head. So I won’t. I’ll just focus on his smile , the way he says mom and go clean up all the soup cans he pulled out of the pantry.

So my birthday was on Tuesday.  Turning thirty anything doesn’t seem to bother me much these days…the 40′s may be a different story!  On Saturday a bunch of my friends and family met me and my husband out for dinner.  Great time!  Then we decided to go to a nearby club…fun!  Ok, well I had a little too much.   Sunday was not such a fun day for me.  But looking back I think it may have been worth it!  Can’t wait to do it again next year!

After ALOT of thinking I decided to get the kids the h1n1 vaccine.  We waited in line for four hours…four hours with three kids 5 and under!  I’m so glad my mom came or I never would have made it.   I’ve never gotten them any flu shot and they’ve never gotten the flu.  And I wasn’t convinced that this was something they should have.  But last night we went to the Pizza Hut buffet.  And I sat there and watched everyone touch the tongs that I just touched.  I swear, I sanitized my had right at the table about 4 times!  This is not at all how I am normally, I don’t freak out.  But I would just drive myself crazy everytime the kids would touch ANYTHING.  That’s what made me get it.  I really hope it was the right thing to do.
