Thankful…yup that’s how I’m feeling. So glad that this kid is ok. We had the scariest few days with him this week. I never expected that I would come that close to loosing one of my children. He had the flu and it turned really bad. He had to spend a few days in the hospital and had a dangerously high temperature. It makes me sick to my stomach to replay those events in my head. So I won’t. I’ll just focus on his smile , the way he says mom and go clean up all the soup cans he pulled out of the pantry. ;)

Here’s a couple pics I took a few weeks ago of little Meg.  I’ve been friends with her mom since jr. high.  Love her blonde hair and big blue eyes!

Two weeks later and Niko is still talking about his birthday party.  Guess that means I did a good job! ;)   Paige was the official party photog.  She took all of the pictures that day.  I usually do it but then I just get overwhelmed.  For being only 12 I think she’s off to a great start! :)

So my birthday was on Tuesday.  Turning thirty anything doesn’t seem to bother me much these days…the 40′s may be a different story!  On Saturday a bunch of my friends and family met me and my husband out for dinner.  Great time!  Then we decided to go to a nearby club…fun!  Ok, well I had a little too much. :(   Sunday was not such a fun day for me.  But looking back I think it may have been worth it!  Can’t wait to do it again next year! ;)

After ALOT of thinking I decided to get the kids the h1n1 vaccine.  We waited in line for four hours…four hours with three kids 5 and under!  I’m so glad my mom came or I never would have made it.   I’ve never gotten them any flu shot and they’ve never gotten the flu.  And I wasn’t convinced that this was something they should have.  But last night we went to the Pizza Hut buffet.  And I sat there and watched everyone touch the tongs that I just touched.  I swear, I sanitized my had right at the table about 4 times!  This is not at all how I am normally, I don’t freak out.  But I would just drive myself crazy everytime the kids would touch ANYTHING.  That’s what made me get it.  I really hope it was the right thing to do.

I was hard at work last week on patterns!  I actually got two finished in one week and listed on Etsy, I was amazed.  They are only available in toddler sizes at the moment.  But if you HAVE to have them in infants or girls just drop me a line and maybe you can motivate me to get the other sizes completed. ;)   Shop here:  Romeo&Mae

The first one is the Piper Mighty Ruffle Pants.  These pants are so fun I’m about to make some in my size! ;)

I can’t believe he’s already 5! Where did my little baby go?! I am so thankful for this little man. I never thought I’d have a boy, always thought I’d have 2 girls and that’s it. Wow, was I wrong! One girl and THREE boys! Niko was my first boy. He is the sweetest, most affectionate little man. He is truly a mama’s boy and I love it! I never get tired of hearing “mom, you’re so pretty” or “mom, I love you so so so sooooo much”. He has such a big heart and his big ol brown eyes just make me melt. ♥

I just wanted to take a moment and send out my sympothy to a fellow Clickin Mom that lost her four year old son over the weekend to H1N1. Please pray for Tracy and her family. :(
